George S. Ibrahim, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon at 360 Orthopedics, serving patients in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, and surrounding communities. He specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, with a focus on helping patients relieve pain and return to normal activity as safely and efficiently as possible.
Dr. Ibrahim combines advanced surgical expertise with a conservative, patient-first approach. While he is highly trained in minimally invasive spine surgery, robotic-assisted procedures, and motion-preserving techniques such as disc replacement, he prioritizes non-surgical treatment whenever appropriate—ensuring patients explore all options before considering surgery.
He treats a wide range of spine conditions, from common issues like herniated discs and sciatica to more complex cases, including spinal trauma, tumors, and failed back surgery. He is also experienced in revision spine surgery, helping patients who continue to experience pain after prior procedures find a clearer path forward.
Dr. Ibrahim completed his undergraduate studies at Florida State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, followed by a Master’s degree in Molecular Medicine from the University of South Florida. He received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at George Washington University Hospital. He then pursued fellowship training in spine surgery at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Dr. Ibrahim enjoys taking advantage of the outdoors in his free time, including running, exercising, kayaking, fishing, and wakeboarding.
