Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Job Type: Full-time

The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for clinical functions to optimize the flow of patients and meet the needs of the providers.

Rooms patients and prepares them for physician examination by taking required vital signs per physician protocol. Assists doctors with clinical needs once trained (e.g. dressing changes, suture removal, injection preparation, cast application and removal, minor procedure assisting, dispensing DMEs, patient education, and any necessary form completion).

Understands/uses the EMR system efficiently, becoming proficient and staying current with all aspects of electronic medical records. Maintains a working understanding of the office telephone system for routing of calls. As needed, takes incoming patient phone calls and responds in a timely and appropriate manner.

Cleans exam rooms after each patient and keeps them stocked with necessary supplies and patient education materials. Performs routine cleaning of medical equipment and washes instruments in preparation for sterilization according to office protocol.

Helps with completing forms for Workers Comp, FMLA, disability etc. Must have Certification from an accredited MA program with preferably two years of experience in a medical office setting.

Physical Therapist Assistant – Venice

360 Orthopedics is looking for a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant for our Venice location. Our staff includes Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and Occupational Therapists who specialize in the care and treatment of orthopedic and sports-related injuries as well as multiple post-surgical conditions.

Patient caseloads range from high school athletes to the active retirement population and everything in between. Our PTAs work under the guidance and supervision of licensed Physical Therapists to provide one-on-one patient care in a multidisciplinary team setting in a clean and professional environment. Candidates should be comfortable assisting in the treatment of a wide range of orthopedic and sports injury-related conditions and must be able to communicate effectively with both patients and the rehab team.
